Now that the snow is on the ground and we are watching winter approach, I can't help but feel a little bit lonelier at the church. I miss greeting and watching all the avid gardeners digging, weeding, watering and just enjoying the beauty of God's creation by hanging out at the Community Gardens. I also miss all the little song birds, and the sounds of the frogs and insects. Nonetheless, the garden still has a silent winter beauty; from the frosty sunflowers still holding their heads high, to the pure white of the blanket of snow covering everything. We are thankful for this blessing at Covenant. We are grateful that our members and neighbours can experience the garden together. A big thank you to John Feddes, Mary Van Driesum, Eric Veldhuizen and Sally Leder for their work with the gardens and to all the hardworking gardeners. I can't wait to see you next spring!
