Friendship
Friendship is “Faith, friends and belonging”. We believe that the body of Christ is made stronger when ALL people, with and without disabilities, love and serve God together!
The Covenant Church family, together with volunteers from neighboring faith communities, hosts 35 special friends, individuals of all ages with intellectual disabilities, from across Edmonton and surrounding areas within our Friendship Program. We come together most Monday evenings from mid September to mid May for an hour and a half of fellowship and worship which includes singing, praying, stories, crafts, and some special events like a dance or a talent show and a Christmas banquet. Covenant Church also hosts an annual Friendship service in the spring.
To join us for this service or to receive more information about our Friendship ministry please email friendshipcov@gmail.com or contact the church office at admin@covenantcommunity.ca.
